The Meekness of Wisdom
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. – James 3:13
If a man or woman has true wisdom, let them show it by their works. True godly wisdom will display itself in the good conduct of the person. But, anyone can do works. Yes! The one who has true godly wisdom will do their works in an attitude of meekness.
Meekness is gentleness. Meekness is the mix of kindness and humility. Meekness is the opposite of prideful arrogance and boasting. A truly wise person, is a humble person, not only toward man but in his soul and toward God.
Reflection: Is my possession of godly wisdom evident, not only in my works but also, and especially, in the humble attitude in which my works are done?
